The rarity and beauty of Black Opals has always captivated Opal Republic’s founder, Mrs. Shaima Al Momen, and this captivation lead her to establish the brand with a mission to offer unique pieces to its valuable customers, with black opals and gemstones as the center of design. Shaima’s chemical engineering degree was the bedrock upon which she established and grew her knowledge in gemstones, and assisting her in her gemology studies at the prestigious Gemological Institute of America (GIA).
