Dear Nin began with a passion to make slow preorder only clothing, made from mostly eco materials in 2018. Applying circular fashion, sustainable practices and materials and Dear Nin has always been committed to staying flexible and doing better. From starting the production in Bali, then moving locally and sourcing organic cotton, linen, tencel and dead stock,2020 was a year of growth in sustainability as it pertains to design and practices. We designed pieces that are multi-use and multi-wear. Dear Nin completely eradicated the use of synthetic fabric and materials. Dear Nin has grown in business and design, collaborating with an Indian factory to produce the most ethically made (BACCI certified) and eco fabric designs. Bold, fashionable yet wearable and affordable is the ethos at Dear Nin.
Dear Nin began its journey in 2018, when the creative director and designer Sama Al Wasmi felt unsatisfied and jaded with the current fashion cycle after years of working in retail as a buyer. From working with high street brands like Topshop to the uber luxury brands likeAlexander Mcqueen, Chloe and Alaïa over the course of 10 years.
